Raising The Bar for our Ag Program

Ashland-Greenwood's Ag Educator, Ashley Looper, attended this summer's CASE Conference at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma, and developed a Soybean Curriculum for the classroom through a scholarship from the Nebraska Soybean Board. Ms. Looper completed a STEM-based CASE (Curriculum for AgriScience Education) training. The CASE Intro to AFNR training provided a curriculum to agricultural education teachers. FBLA Hosts Drive For Your School Event

The Ashland-Greenwood FBLA Program will host the Drive For Your School fundraiser event on Friday, August 21st. Lee Sapp Ford will have vehicles that you can test drive at Memorial Stadium from 4:00pm - 7:00pm before and during our AG Boys Football Blue/White scrimmage. Please come out and support our local FBLA chapter and cheer on your Bluejays.

Derek Tonjes - Named Athlete of the Year by the Lincoln Journal Star

Derek Tonjes, a standout athlete from Ashland-Greenwood High School, was named the 2026 Lincoln Journal Star Boys Athlete of the Year.   Tonjes capped off a historic high school career as an all-state quarterback and a basketball state champion. Rising from a former team ball boy and student manager to one of the most decorated athletes in school history, he also eclipsed 1,000 career points on the hardwood. He is set to continue his basketball career at Concordia University Nebraska.

TIME CHANGE - STATE BASEBALL for Monday, May 18th

Ashland-Greenwood Alumni Makes Strides at the Boston Marathon

The Ashland-Greenwood community continues to show what it means to lead with determination, heart, and service. Last Day of School for Students will be Friday, May 15th

  The   final day of school for students will be Friday, May 15th, 2026; this will be an early dismissal day for students.  The final contract day for certified staff  will be Tuesday, May 19th. Each year the district school calendar is developed to include extra days to account for possible school closings due to   weather or other events.   All of these extra days were not needed this year.  The number of state required instructional hours will be exceeded for all students at all grade . . .

AGPS Again Thanks Our Community!

  Thank you to I3 Bank and the multiple businesses and community members who recently donated!  This year, I3 Bank replaced their traditional holiday canned food drive with collecting donations to help support unpaid hot lunch bills for Ashland-Greenwood students.    Margo   Halbmaier, I3 employee, shared that the response from the community was very positive.   Collected donations far exceeded the initial goal!    A   check for over $3800.00 was presented to Karee . . .

Every new residential customer who signed up for ALLO service from November through December 2024 was presented with the opportunity to select a school to receive a $50 donation from ALLO. Playground Expansion Complete at Ashland-Greenwood Primary Elementary
